SATW was launched in 2005 as a UK registered charity and Lilian Baylis Technology School in South London was the first school to become a partner. Today the SATW has embraced schools in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Russia and with further initiatives in Spain and Italy under review.
Cushman & Wakefield in the Czech Republic has adopted the Special School for Children with hearing difficulties (Speciální škola pro sluchově postižené) located on Vymolova Street in Prague 5. The school, established in 1926, integrates nursery, primary and secondary - Dental laboratory technicians profession education levels and offers facilities for day students as well as living accommodation for weekly boarding (www.sksp.org).
Our successful partnership started in 2007 and since that time we have organized a number of events for the students of that school. Below are some examples.

Work experience for students at C&W office
Summer & Winter teambuilding trip
Deaf Film Festival / Wolverhampton - We financed a trip to Norway to help the students to experience education system at a similar school abroad and to improve their self confidence by meeting foreign people with the same handicap
Courses / “How to choose a future job” - The aim of this project was to help the children to choose a future job. There is only one hour per week which can be used for a practical improvement at the school. This project showed to students several possibilities for their future jobs (basket maker, ceramist, decorator, cook)
Children Day / June 2010 - The aim of this was to prepare a sports afternoon for the children from our adopted school. It was a celebration of the "Children Day". Some of our employees (including Jonathan) spent an afternoon together with the children. It was really nice day for everyone
