Toyota Tsusho Europe S.A. considers Jirny to be of strategic importance
The Logistics Division of Toyota Tsusho Europe S.A. has leased almost 8,000 square metres at Prologis Park Prague-Jirny. It currently uses the site to provide logistics services to companies linked to both non-automotive and automotive industries. Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial Agency team assisted in negotiating the terms of the lease.
At present, the Jirny hub is the only industrial property that Toyota Tsusho Europe S.A. has leased in the Czech Republic, in contrast to the other industrial halls which have been purpose built into Toyota Tsusho ownership.
“For companies with a long-term yet flexible approach, the combination of owning properties and leasing space is a strategic solution. Lease provides a greater degree of mobility and does not tie up capital. This is something that companies really appreciate nowadays,” says Christopher LaRue of the industrial team of Cushman & Wakefield.
“Toyota Tsusho is experiencing strong demand on the part of its existing clients. This is why they opted to extend the lease by five years. This means stability both for Toyota Tsusho and for their customers,” says Christopher LaRue.
“Prologis Park Prague-Jirny has a strategic position between their headquarters in Prague and Service Centre in Kolin, which provides services to its internal and external customers with the final destination of TPCA. The park is located on main logistics routes and also in a community with a sufficiently qualified workforce.
Prologis Park Prague-Jirny has a total area of more than 220,000 square metres and has been fully leased. Other major occupiers include DHL, LGI and Globus.
