The Japanese are moving to Prague
Japanese air-conditioning equipment manufacturer PC International is moving in to a logistic park in Kněževes near the Prague international airport Ruzyně. The company has leased almost 5,000 sq m of industrial space and offices in the Airport Logistic Park, own by Pramerica Real Estate Investors which is the real estate investment management business of Prudential Financial, Inc. of the United States. Panattoni Europe is responsible for asset management of the logistics centre. Cushman & Wakefield facilitated the transaction.
The company is moving its production of insulators for air-condition machines to Kněževes. The start of production in the new facility is planned for November, following the preparation of the premises and moving.
Compared with the previous site, it will expand its production space by about one thousand square metres. PC International is coming from the industrial park in Louny where the company was not able to expand as needed.
“PC International plans on expanding production and, accordingly, it searched for adequate space. The company wants to concentrate its production operations within a single facility, which is flexible and will enable it to expand its floor area still further if necessary. The company holds for example an ISO quality certificate that, among other things, requires a certain production space standard. The Airport Logistic Park is the best match for the requirements, including an excellent transport service and a good price,” says Mayumi Yokozeki from Cushman & Wakefield’s international team.

In addition, all discussions were held in Japanese what we consider as an advantage and ad value of services provided by the C&W international team,” says Mr. Michael Suzuki, President of PC International.
Airport Logistic Park is located west of Prague city centre, connected to the D7 highway, close to the village of Kněževes. The Prague ring road provides a fast highway link from the airport area to logistics routes serving destinations throughout the Czech Republic and Central Europe. The entire complex comprises 3 warehouse/production facilities surrounded by service road and main administrative building. Each building provides the capacity of 18,000 sq m of industrial space, which can be divided by fire walls to 4 separate warehouse units of the area 4,500 sq m.
