PPG Deco Czech opens a new distribution centre for the Czech and Slovak Republics
PPG Deco Czech, the producer of the Primalex and Balakryl paints, is opening its new distribution centre in Modrice near Brno where it has leased 6,500 square metres from CTP Invest. The storage facility will be used to deliver goods to the entire Moravia area and the west of Slovakia. Cushman & Wakefield found the suitable industrial premises.
“The storage facility relocation is part of an effort aimed at consolidating our logistic activities and saving both operating costs and working capital,” says Petr Havlena, Logistics Director at PPG Deco Czech.
PPG Deco Czech has leased 30% of the total area of Hall MO17 at CTPark Modrice II. The premises were handed over to the company at the end of February and operations started on 1 March. Cushman & Wakefield conducted the tender procedure in the search for the new premises. “The client was searching primarily for a location in or near Brno,” says Jakub Kodr, consultant at Cushman & Wakefield, adding: “CTPark was the best-prepared facility at the time, and that along with its favourable position near the D1 motorway was the deciding factor.”
“This project marks the continuation of our previous successful collaboration where PPG leased office space at the Spielberk Office Centre in Brno,” says Tomáš Budař, Regional Director at CTP, and adds: “This confirms that Brno remains a very attractive location for clients.”
