New development at VGP Park Horní Počernice
A company named quick-mix, k.s. will be one of the first occupiers located in a further development of the project named VGP Park Horní Počernice. In co-operation with Cushman & Wakefield, quick-mix has concluded a lease agreement for more than 870 square metres of industrial and office space there. The VGP Park Horní Počernice represents one of the few development projects launched without preleases.
Quick-mix plans to move to its new premises at the beginning of March 2012.
“This is a good signal for the market. In the past year or two, almost no industrial space has been developed on a speculative basis. VGP has decided to develop on a speculative basis some standard storage facilities, which – depending on the specific requirements of their occupiers – can be broken down into smaller business units. Demand for small storage premises meeting the European standards continues in Prague and VGP is the only developer which has such premises on offer in the region located east of Prague today”, says Mr Laurent Jechoux of the C&W Industrial Team, who was involved in the transaction.
Quick-mix belongs to the international concern Sievert AG & Co. KG. The company develops and supplies high-quality dry mortar mixes and construction chemistry products, thermal insulation, and material containing Trass. It is moving its warehousing facilities serving the supplies to the Czech market to Horní Počernice.
The VGP Park Horní Počernice is situated in close proximity to the R10 speedway, which links Prague with the cities of Mladá Boleslav and Liberec. It ranks among the largest industrial parks located in the Czech Republic. Its development began in the spring of 2006 and, following several acquisitions, its original area has been extended to cover more than one million square metres; the developed area equals approximately 380,000 sq. m. Nowadays, the park premises have been leased in full; its occupiers currently include such corporations as Coca-Cola, DATART INTERNATIONAL, IKEA Česká republika, Kofola and TNT Post ČR.
The total area of added space will equal 11.5 thousand square metres.
C&W represented the park owners – VGP – in the transaction.
